Kurt R. Schwamberger CITRMS, CIPA, CIRM
Mr. Schwamberger is a 30 year Insurance Industry veteran who has spent his entire career in the Personal Lines sector of the industry. Today he is the CEO of S & K Consulting, LLC, a Marketing and Strategic Development consulting firm that he formed after he retired from ACE in 2003, where he served as President and CEO of The Consumer Solutions Group, which was ACE's worldwide Personal Lines division. Prior to his arrival at ACE, Mr. Schwamberger was the President and COO of American Modern Insurance Group, which is one of the nations leading provider of specialty personal lines. Mr. Schwamberger joined American Modern after 10 years with AIG where he served as VP AIG Personal Lines and President of The Personal Lines Division AIU, which is AIG's foreign arm. Prior to joining AIG Mr. Schwamberger began his career with Foremost Insurance where over 10 years he split his time between Home Office Product Management and Regional Agency Management duties.
Mr. Schwamberger has served on numerous boards during his career and current resides in Michigan where he serves on the Mecosta County Area Chamber of Commerce Board, The Mecosta County Habitat for Humanity Board and the Big Rapids Lions Club Board.
Kurt heads up the Business Consulting and Risk Management practices.
Sharon L. Schwamberger CITRMS
Mrs. Schwamberger is a 25+ year Insurance Industry Veteran who held numerous executive underwriting positions for the multinational division of AIG. Sharon has also held positions as Assistant Vice President of Marketing for International Insurance, Regional Underwriting Manager for both domestic and international companies.
Sharon has been quoted in such publications as "The Wall Street Journal", "The National Underwriter", "The Journal of Commerce", the "Lloyd's List", "International Business" magazine, and "Rough Notes".
As a corporate representative from the private sector, Sharon worked with the US Commerce Department in the promotion and development of the "Export NOW" program and was utilized by the Commerce Department as an expert speaker on International Insurance and Trade.
Sharon heads up the Underwriting and Audit practices.
Demarest S. Newman
Mr. Newman's insurance career spans 40 years beginning in 1968 as a salesman for American Mutual Liability Insurance Company rising to branch sales manger.
In 1974 Mr. Newman began his long involvement in the reinsurance industry as a treaty broker eventually co-founding Sten Re Cole & Associates which he and his partners sold to what is now Aon Corp.
From 1990 to 2006 Mr. Newman continued to practice as a reinsurance intermediary holding senior management positions serving as Executive Vice President with John P.Woods,Inc. and Cooper Gay Steele until opening Innovative Intermediaries in Association with Chiltington International ,Inc. a leading industry consulting and run off management firm.
Innovative initial focus was to offer reinsurance services to the captive and alternative risk segments of the industry.It has since expanded to include product development and distribution in partnership with S&K Consulting,LLC. While Mr. Newman's experience is heavily weighted in the professional liability and worker's compensation lines,
Innovative and S&K cover all lines of property/casualty as well as life and health and warranty products.
Nick heads up the Reinsurance and Captive Service practices.
Laura Miller SPHR, LIC
Laura Miller never considered becoming an insurance agent until a series of employee benefit related issues frustrated her in her role as Human Resource Manager for a rapidly growing packaging company. In 2003, she rethought her professional role and decided to forge a new path using her first hand experience to specialize in employee benefits so she could assist multiple organizations as their employee benefits partner.
Laura draws from over 16 years of Employee Benefit and general Human Resources experience to achieve remarkable levels of client loyalty nd employee satisfation. She is devoted to setting new standards of service in the industry by understanding her clients' strategic objectives as they relate to employee benefits, maximizing benefit levels within a given budget and providing service support thoughout the year.
Her comprehensive knowledge of the industry is rare to find. Laura graduated from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration specializing in Human Resource Management. She maintains her life/accident and health insurance licenses, became a licensed insurance counselor in October of 2008 and passed Wellness Certification course in May of 2009 through the National Association of Health Underwriters. Laura is committed to continuing education and feels strongly that maintaining her Senior Professional in Human Resouces (SPHR) designation is important in order to stay abreast of all areas of employee benefits.
Laura is the founder and owner of Custom Benefit Services, LLC.

Steven Landberg
Mr. Landberg is the Managing Partner of Claymore Partners, an executive search and consulting firm specializing in working with leading insurance and financial service organizations. He has over 25 years of executive search, organizational and management consulting experience in the financial services arena.
Mr. Landberg has previously served as a Financial Services partner with Gemini Consulting, Nextera, InSearch Worldwide, and Sibson Consulting as well as held senior executive positions with Citicorp, GE Capital, and PepsiCo.
His major insurance clients have included ACE, AIG, Aon, CIGNA, Citicorp, GE Capital, The Hartford, Manulife, Marsh, Met Life, PMSC, Principal Financial Group, State Farm, Towers Perrin, Travelers, and Trenwick.
He is a frequent speaker at industry events including the AM Best Review Preview and eFusion conferences as well as the Citicorp Global Insurance, Hartford STAR, and Financial Technology conferences. Mr. Landberg is published regularly as a Technology Insight columnist for Bests Review and in other leading journals including SHRM and Staffing Magazine as well as being a contributing author to the book Integrated Direct Marketing. He has served as an Expert Panel Member for the Human Capital Institute and is a founding Partner in the Center for Global Workforce Excellence. Mr. Landberg holds a BS from Lehigh University and an MBA from Columbia University.
